The hearing

What I said in the hearing, condensed (thanks, Ben, for reminding me):

"Everything the HUNGRY representative said on Saturday was true. Many people are abusing their rights to eat as much as they want, and cookies are, indeed, a major source of many of today's health problems. However, our rights are exactly what we need to talk about today. Far too many people have let go of their responsibility as citizens of America. But that's what this country is all about. To outlaw cookies, big or small, would be to undermine what this nation is founded on; the right to make dumb mistakes. Throughout history, humans have made life-altering mistakes, but it is because of that that we have become such a great nation. To ban cookies would be to ban freedom. No, we can not afford to fail to reach the 2010 weight goals. But even more, we can not afford to restrict those goals that this nation was founded on over two hundred years ago; and those are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

What Ben said yesterday was right. The cookie is a symbol of freedom, a symbol of peace and contentedness, and we can't let that, or any such symbol, be destroyed. I don't know what their decision will be, but I know one thing; I feel a lot better about myself. We'll go on and we'll find the cookie, and what Congress decides, Congress decides, but I won't be responsible for killing the cookie. Now back to finding the bad guys.

it looks like the word 'exactly' runs into the word 'what'.

Oh, haha, yeah, that's one of VD12's really old post :) In fact, though, there is a space between 'em, it's just not very easy to see because of the italics.

Thanks for pointing that out, though. I tend to make grammatical mistakes some times, so if you read any of my newer posts, I'd be glad to hear any corrections :-)
