ADD at work

I confronted Ludwig Einstein about my wanting to leave, and he seemed dismayed. But he seemed to be considering letting me go. Then he got sidetracked and sighed, "there is only one hope left to counter Novikov's theory." he spoke almost as if he knew doing so was hopelessly impossible, "and that's the idea that if I had a real time machine, one that could go anywhere, I would be able to change the past." and then he walked on, without saying another word.
