Time Travel is VERY Strange Indeed

So I sat down to start writing the program, which I knew would take me longer than a night and then I got an email signed "The Mad Scientist". It contained all the source code I needed to build a program better than I would have been able to under such difficult conditions. It included only one request: "don't tell anyone I sent you this." I then spent about an hour finishing the code. I clicked "save" and said I'd finished it.
Vanderdecken12 barely had time to say, "I knew you could do it." when Oleck, at least an older Oleck than VD12 remembered him, appeared before us.
"That was fast." I said.
The first thing Oleck did was give Vanderdecken a big hug, "my, you haven't aged a day."
VD laughed, "Actually, about two months would be more precise."
"I'm fifty-four, in case you're wondering."
"fifty-four years, and fourteen days, assuming you haven't been exposed to any radiation or extreme labor, and that you weren't lying when you said you were a teacher."
We all stared at Aleck...
"He's a secret agent." Vanderdecken explained.
"Ah, I see. My descendant is a genius."
"Fascinating," Aleck whispered.
"So, I see you weren't happy with waiting until where I planned to meet you." Oleck laughed.
"No, I need you now."
"I must say, I was much surprised when your police.told me you needed me."
"Yes, a computer program that Ben," VD12 nodded toward me, "built."
"Computers. Those are the most interesting things. Imagine; telling a box of metal to solve a HUGE math program, and it does it instantly! And to think people play games with such technology!"
I'd never thought of it that way.
"But you said you needed my help. A favor which you have definitely earned. What do you need?"
"We'd better discuss it in the car."
"Cars, too. Horseless carriages. They're amazing! Though a lot of people are very reckless in them."
We all got back into the vehicle and headed to Beijing.
"You did great with the code." Vanderdecken whispered to me, "I'm sure you'll have no problem clearing my name in time."
All I could do was nod. If only he knew...
