"I'm not going to be foolish enough to fall for the trap again," I eyed him as he repaired the trap, waiting for a chance to escape.
"It's not for you, you fool, it's for...wait a minute, you think I was trying to capture you? Ha! I do not need such a trap to capture you. You are too easy. I was going after much smarter game. It is a rabbit trap." Clearly this meant that he had planned on apprehending me already.
"Wait a minute. You're saying I'm harder to catch than a rabbit?"
"No, I'm saying you are easier, watch." he dropped the knife he was holding (presumably for the trap), and I ran off. Within seconds, he had caught me, and then tied me up, and then stood me on the trap, and then triggered the trap, so that I was hanging upside-down again, except this time completely tied up as well. "You see?"

Within seconds, he had caught me, and then tied me up, and then stood me on the trap, and then triggered the trap, so that I was hanging upside-down again, except this time completely tied up as well. "You see?"
"Good point. So you are trying to catch a rabbit?"
"Yes, now that our food supplies have been stolen..."
"You mean you-,"
"You don't think I stole the food? Ohhh, that is why you thought the trap was. Ah, you very small-minded creature, no, no, no, our food was stolen by the people who were trying to steal the map. I was setting up rabbit traps when you woke up. This trail happens to be a common path for a very large rabbit. As for getting caught up in the net last night, you do that every night. You just don't notice."
This is where my genius mind came into play. Clearly, I could've confronted him, but everything he said sounded legitimate, even if I wasn't sure it was true, so I had nothing to accuse him of, except for one thing. "But I haven't seen a rabbit this entire time!" Just as I said this, as if only to spite me, a rabbit twice the size of my head came speeding down the path and rammed straight into me. I was kind of dazed, but it just kept right on running.
"See?"
"Sure, Aleck, just get me down from here."
"You believe I am not a traitor?"
I blinked rapidly to get some rabbit fur out of my eye. "Listen, you know that what I say will not affect who you are, and while what you do may affect what I say, what I say can never affect what I think. So to answer this question may only affect what you think. Of course, if you are not a traitor, what you do can affect what I think, but if you are a traitor, you do not care what I think. Having nothing to do with words, then, because what I say will not affect who you are. So it is best for both of us for me not to say anything, for fear that what I say will cause who you are to be altered, and, being that I can not say anything to make you good, but may very well say something to make you bad, my best course of action is to keep my mouth shut."
"Something I wish you'd done a long time ago. In other words, you're not sure."
"Precisely, now let's get me down from here, and go find those bad guys!...er, assuming you don't think they're good guys."
