Saved

Aleck and I got our strength back, and together (mostly by Aleck), we were able to fight off the three bad guys, Bob Simmons, Jackson, and the mastermind. However, we were in no shape to apprehend them, and as they escaped, Bob picked up a chunk of cookie the size of his head, and, holding it menacingly up at us, yelled out "this is all I need!" and then he pulled out a "scatter you to pieces harmlessly" gun and shot us. I managed to get out of the way, but only because Aleck pushed me, getting struck by the projectile, yet again. He's going to need some time to recover. The bad guys left, however, and the millitary arrived soon after to pick us up, and will begin to retrieve the cookie shortly.

I can not begin to describe the joy I have in having been succesful in our over-60-day quest for the giant cookie. I was part of something larger than myself, and it feels good to know we succeeded. From the plane crash , to the jungle, to Aleck exploding to pieces, to confronting Luther Ulbretch Bob in the airport, to Aleck exploding to pieces again, to crossing the Atlantic, to driving across the African dessert, to breaking out of jail, to nearly starving to death, to finding the 50 mile-wide cookie, it's been a very eventful journey, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it. You know, it's very strange. I have been in the cookie-searching business so long, now that it's over, I don't know what to do with the rest of my life. I'll debrief you all tomorrow.
